The tragic death of United Healthcare’s CEO made it clear that the public is fed up with our system. However, violence is not the path to progress; meaningful change will come through reform in health policy and innovation in the private sector. To make this change, we need talented people to grasp the system’s underlying fundamentals and dip their toes into the industry.

This course will look under the hood of the big, hairy problem of health insurance. By the end, you will understand the key players and incentives that created our health insurance system. For example, you will learn how WW2 led to the accidental adoption of our employer-based system, along with the many other topics discussed in the study guide below.

To pass this course, you will need to get a 90% or above on the Final Exam, which will be administered on Feb 9.
